A wide-eyed bird with slender, human legs, Twittch first appeared in the digital triptych, SPECULUM, a contemporary reworking of Hieronymus Bosch’s masterpiece, The Garden of Earthly Delights, created by the Dutch trio, SMACK. Online identity and social media use are recurring themes in SMACK’s artwork and Twittch features in their digital Hell on constant alert, complete with the nervous movements, bloodshot eyes and the jerky, repetitive behaviour of a genuine addict. In this exclusive limited edition sculpture, hand-cast in resin and painted with metal effect acrylic, Twittch gazes upward, always on the outlook for something new.
